Today Trycia and I were at the Galleria in Edina installing a webcam so you can watch our friend Jessie from Stray Dog Arts paint at her art exhibit. If you have not been there to check it out, this next Friday night would be a great time at our Mon Ami event. We brought Roxy with us, and on the way there she decided to stick her head out the window and I made a video of it.
Who stole Roxy?
Did you notice that Roxy’s painting in the lobby is missing? One of our customers thought that the painting was stolen, but it is being borrowed by Jessie of Stray Dog Arts who is the painter! She has a gallery show all month long at the Galleria in Edina and she wanted to show off Roxy! So we said that she could use it for the month. Jessie was also one of our first customers when we opened and her dogs Louie and Ella checked into our doggy hotel today. We are sponsoring an event next Friday night at the Galleria called MonAmi. Get more information about this great event at monamiedina.com.
Have a good night.

Undercover Boss
I am not sure how many of you have watched the CBS show Undercover Boss, but I am a huge fan. I know we are not a huge company (and never will be), but I like to think Trycia and I have a good handle of everything that goes on. Very often will you see us in back with the dogs and talking with our staff. Last Friday, one of our cleaners was sick, so I picked up the slack and cleaned all 3 of the play areas after working a full day. I actually enjoy doing these types of things because I feel that it keeps a business owner grounded, and in touch with what really goes on, how things work and what we can do to improve things. While I was pushing our floor scrubber at 8:15pm last Friday, I had a thought of something we can do to make the cleaning process go faster. I think there are many business owners that just don’t try to interact with staff and actually have a handle on how things work, they are too busy sitting in an office talking the talk.
Hope everyone had a great weekend! Roxy enjoyed a long walk around Lake Calhoun today!

How many dogs fit in our training room?
Good question!! Sunday, we had a Bernese Mountain Dog gathering in our training room with all of Roxy’s brothers and sisters. It was great to see so many of the same breed, and how all of the personalities are so different! We get all of these dogs together 2 or 3 times each year, and it is really great to keep in touch with the rest of her family.
Can you spot Roxy in the picture? As always, she has to be front and center!!
Have a good day!

Welcome Back Bindi
Bindi, was our first ever dog daycare dog, and her parents were stalking our daycare before we even opened our doors on April 20, 2008. Bindi came almost every day and she quickly became Roxy (our dog’s) BFF. Well, a few months ago Bindi’s mom work schedule changed and bindi started staying home more, but today was her first day back. Boy did we miss her! Bindi is great with the big dogs and the small dogs and she really reminds me of Gumby. We are so glad to have her back!!
Oh, for all you non iPhone people, we just launched our mobile website. This will make the webcams load faster on your PDA or Smart Phone. Just go to our regular website, and it will automatically load the mobile version.
Have a good night.

Famous Pooch
Ruger, one of our dog daycare dogs is famous! His mom just sent me a copy of an ad that he will be in. It’s not in this area, but still it is pretty cool. Good job Ruger, we are so proud of you! When you make it big time as a professional football model, don’t forget about us little guys at Pampered Pooch Playground!
Speaking of football, there are only a few spaces open for Monday’s special day of daycare. If you don’t know what I am talking about, read this previous blog post.
On a side note, I think Trycia and I need to get a bigger couch. As I type this, I am surrounded by 2 Bernese Mountain Dogs. Our dog Roxy is on the right of me, and her older sister is on the left (Roxy is having a play-date this afternoon).
Have a good night.
