Last night we had our Pampered Pooch Playground holiday party for our staff. Every year we try to pick something fun to do, and this year we took them indoor rock climbing. We rented out the entire place and everyone loved it! Our staff is amazing and they work so hard, this was the least we could do to reward them!

Indy enjoyes playing in the Canine Cove!
Indy is one little energetic Yorkie mix that loves to play in the Canine Cove. She runs in the front door and we can’t take her back to play with the rest of her friends fast enough. Yesterday Trycia was snapping some new pictures. You can click here to see them. So many people thing we hire a professional photographer to take the pictures in the photo gallery, but Trycia is just very talented!
Just a quick reminder, we only have about 5 spaces left in our hotel for New Years Eve. If you need that space, please let us know so your pooch can ring in the new year with us!

Skippy and Cyrus cuddled up in the Canine Cove!
Wow! you know that there is a MASSIVE amount of snow when we have to shovel a special path for Roxy to go outside! I really need to send a special thanks to all of our staff who braved the road conditions to come in and care for all the dogs! Unfortunately we are not like a regular business that can just close early because of the weather. We always have dogs, and they always need care and attention! Some of our staff even have had problems getting to and from work, so I have started picking people up and driving them (would the owner of your company do that?). As of this post, 3 rides and counting, maybe I should put a meter on my dashboard and charge! Seriously though, it is the least we can do as an employer to help!

Hola Lola - Laying on the ramps at doggy daycare!
Lola is one of the Yellow Labs that comes to doggy daycare everyday! She walks in the front dog and she is all wags when she comes in! Lola is often seen playing in Waggers Way, and most of our staff refer to her as “Hola Lola”.
There is a pretty big snowstorm that is going to happen tonight, and one of our customers asked “will someone be able to make it in Saturday”. Erin our manager replied, “Keith will always make it in no matter what the weather! He will even drive in on a bulldozer if needed”. So funny, yet so true. Now I need to see if any of our Linden Hills neighbors have a bulldozer!

Cosi started coming to doggy daycare when she was a really young puppy and now she is 2. Cosi LOVES doggy daycare!
We try hard to support the customers that support us, and one of the is Cosi the French Bulldog’s mom, Michaela. Trycia has been going to her for the past year to have her hair done, and today was my first trip to see her! She did an awesome job (not like I have lots of hair), and the massage while you get your hair washed was amazing! So if you are looking for a new hair dresser give a call (612.926.8689) to the Julia Bretey Salon in Edina and schedule an appointment with Michaela (she will tell you all about her upcoming wedding!)
Ok, so this whole blog post is not a huge commerical, here is what else happened…. I spent about 2 hours running some new eithernet wire (how fun is that) for our computer that is in the food prep area. This computer was running on WIFI before, but our doggy daycare software ran too slow on that type of connection. Most of the afternoon was spent dealing with the contractors for Bubbly Paws.

Lots of holiday gifts for your pooch were available at the Muddy Paws Cheesecake event. These items are also available in our lobby.
Last night we were at the Muddy Paws cheesecake sampling and holiday bazaar in St Louis Park. What a turnout, it was wonderful to see so many of our customers enjoying what might be the worlds best cheesecake!
At the daycare, you might have noticed that we keep moving the doggy daycare webcams in Waggers Way. Since we decided that this room works best as one LARGE room (about 4200 sqft), rather than 2 small ones, we are trying to position the cameras so you can see everything. We are not 100% there, but are getting close and it is on the top of my list of things to do today!

Roxy gave Santa her gift list of treats, treats and More treats!
Today our training room was taken over by the Minnesota Boxer Rescue for Santa Paws. Our friends Matt and Amber from Modern Life Photo (and Pampered Pooch Playground customers) were snapping some amazing pictures of the dogs with santa! The best part is all the money raised goes to the Minnesota Boxer Rescue. Wow, I am still shocked at the number of dogs that came out! Impressive! Have a good night.
