The past 40 days it seemed like something was missing at doggy daycare. Schatzie is one of the dogs that comes to play everyday and for the past 40 days she was not allowed to see her friends. One day after daycare she went home and was playing in the backyard like she always does. She ended up catching a bat and bringing it to the owner. She wrapped it in a towel and brought it to the vet to get tested for rabies, and it came back positive. Eventhough Schatzie was current on her rabies vacciene and did not get bit, the state required her to stay home for 40 days (to be on the safe side). Last Friday Schatzie got the OK to come back and play with all of her friends. Boy did she play today, you can tell she was at home!! She was so excited to see everyone again and we are so happy to have her back! We really missed her!

I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend with their dog! Today was another busy day at doggy daycare and all the the dogs were in the mood to play! All except one. Bear’s (black lab) owner called in today and said that Bear was too tired from his weekend for daycare today and that he needed to stay home and rest! I thought that was pretty funny!
Regan (in the picture), is one of our newer dogs that comes to doggy daycare. She just moved here from Miami and, and we are so glad to have her join all of the fun at the PPP.
Just a reminder that the Minnesota SNAP (spay and neuter program) will have their mobile van at our building this Saturday. We are doing a supply drive for them. You can visit their website for a list of supplies they are looking for.

This weekend Trycia and I headed to Wisconsin to hang out with her Family. Trycia’s sister adopted her dog, Roman, from the local shelter and he is more than obsessed with his ball. This big black lab will chase the ball for hours!! Today I spent a good 30 minutes throwing the ball down the street for him and he would get the ball then hop in a baby pool to cool off. Then we would repeat it again, and again! He is such a great dog and every now and then Roxy will play with him. Roxy must be thinking “what a crazy ball obsessed black lab”. Roman goes to one of the local doggy daycares 3 days a week. I wish they would move closer so Roman could meet all of his Minneapolis friends!!

But it is nice and cool in our air conditioned doggy daycare play areas! All the big dogs had fun playing with the water and pools outside, and when they got hot, they all came in to cool down. I really don’t know how some daycares can go on without air conditioning. The minute it turns warm, our dog Roxy wants nothing to do with the outside… She just huddles up next to the air conditioning. This week we are really busy because of the holiday weekend.

Today was Yorkie day at doggy daycare including, Butters, Sydney, Sedes, jag, Mitzi and Maddie (in the picture). Each of these dogs has such a different personality but all of them LOVE to hang out in the outside play area. Today I spent a good part of the day getting things planned out for our 2 year anniversary party which is this saturday. Have you RSVP’ed yet?

Late last night our web design team launched our new website. There are still a few minor bugs that are getting worked out, but they did amazing work! This morning while checking in doggy daycare dogs, I was updating our website. Let us know what you think. We are really excited for PPP V 2.0.

Coupon was one of our first dogs that came for daycare and one of the first graduates from our training class. She is a rat terrier and a boston terrier mix and hangs out in the Waggers Way play area. She might be the only dog you know named Coupon, her parents gave her the name when coupon’s dad reached in his pocket and they had a coupon.
