Meet Our Dog Trainer:
Heather Hime is a certified dog and puppy trainer through Animal Behavior College who has been the dog trainer and full time manager here at Pampered Pooch Playground since we opened in 2008. Spending all day with the dogs at Pampered Pooch Playground has given her the opportunity to learn so much about individual breeds and personalities of so many different dogs and to further understand dog body language and pack mentality.
Heather believes that positive reinforcement training methods are the best way to create a solid and trusting relationship with your dog, but also understands that dogs need rules and boundaries in order to be a balanced and happy companion. Her goal is to help you understand your dogs and to help them learn the things that they need in order to be a well behaved companion. Many behavioral issues are very normal in the dog world (barking, jumping, chewing, etc…) but are not generally considered very mannerly by us. Heather will teach you ways to communicate with your dog that those things are not appreciated.
