Over the past few days, our doggy daycare software has been bugging out and acting strange. So today, the tech support department from the software company was logged on to our computers for about 6 hours trying to fix the problems. They fixed it and also upgraded us to the latest version of the software which is going to have some really cool features you can take advantage of in the next few months. I was impressed that they would take almost the entire day to work out our little problems. I could understand if we were a national franchise or a place that had multiple locations, but we are not. Thanks guys! I have never seen our computers move so fast.

After they logged off, I had to re-setup our printers, and I am not quite as fast as the tech support department is. It took me almost 2 hours to get it going!

Nittany who is in the picture is a mini Australian Shepard who comes to doggy daycare a few times each week.

Sparky

Sparky is an Australian Shepard mix who really enjoys coming to doggy daycare. Sparky is often seen riding in his dad’s Jeep Wrangler with his head leaning over the side so he can have all of the wind in his face. Our outside play area is Sparky’s favorite place to be, and he gets really excited when we play with the water and pools. Sparky’s best friends are Boone (golden retriever), Lilah (golden retriever) and Finnegan (black lab).

Auntie Roxy

There is some big news around our house! Roxy is a Auntie!! Her sister Ruby, just had 10 beautiful Bernese Mountain Dog puppies and Trycia and I can’t wait to meet them! Ruby’s owner sent us a few pictures of the 2 day old puppies and we showed them to Roxy!

This show features local celebrities and business owners that are located in Minneapolis and help to create such a diverse community. Plus, Keith an Roxy will be walking in the fashion show.

A fun Dog Community Wedding

I love when the Twin Cities dog community comes together for a fun time. Last night Molly Feeney who owns Just Paws Puppy Training got married, and lots of our friends were at the reception. In the picture are Sarah (Sarah Beth Photography), Trycia (Pampered Pooch Playground) and Ali (Sidewalk Dog).

Dog Webcam Fun

Last week I ordered a camera that we can put around one of our daycare dogs necks and it captures what they see. We tried this yesterday with Camielle who is one of the Boxers that comes to daycare. It captured a picture every 3 minutes and most of them were blurry, but this one was kinda cool. It is just interesting to see daycare as the dogs see it. We are going to play with it a little more and hopefully get some more cool pictures.

Lake Minnetonka Fun

Yesterday Trycia and I went out on one of our friends boats on Lake Minnetonka and once we got to Big Island, we saw so many dogs! We were walking along all the boats and saw Fletcher the Bernese Mountain Dog that was swimming, and when he got tired he would lay on his water mattress! We stopped to talk with the owner and bonded over Bernese Mountain Dogs (maybe one day Roxy will lay on the mattress like Fletcher). I wish i brought our camera because it was the cutest thing I have ever seen.

We kept going and there must have been over 20 dogs that were all on boats or in the water. Pretty cool! My personal favorite was this picture I took of a guy pushing 4 of them on their water mattress. He passed our boat 3 times!

3rd Annual – Woof-n-Treat Doggy Halloween Party

We invite you to join us for the 3rd annual Woof-n-Treat Doggy Halloween Party and Costume Contest on Saturday, October 30th from Noon-3pm. Admission is free, but we suggest bringing a 5 Pound bag of food or $10 donation to benefit the Pet Project. The Pet Project helps people keep their pets by providing pet food and basic supplies to those who are struggling. The Pet Project also provides connections to basic veterinary care and information on finding pet-friendly housing.

The event will take place “under the big top” in the parking lot of Pampered Pooch Playground in St Louis Park. Bring your pooch in costume, walk the red carpet and have their picture taken by the puparazzi. There will be a doggy costume contest for prizes in the following categories: Most Creative, Best owner/pet, and others. The full list will be published on October 1st.

Staci Matthews from the Moon and Staci show on KS95 will host the costume contest. There will be many local dog businesses providing games and entertainment for your pooch. All dogs must be on leash, and up to date on all vaccinations.

Gracie and her spa day

Today Gracie (miniature schnauzer) stopped in for her spa and grooming appointment with Tami our groomer. I walked back to check on Gracie after her bath and she was hanging out in the dryer and she seemed to love having the air blow on her. She looked so happy! Gracie belongs to Sarah, who runs Sarah Beth Photography. After she picked up gracie, we went out for dinner with us while Gracie and Roxy stayed at our house. We ate at Cafe 28 which is down the street from our house in Linden Hills and we saw the banners she designed for Woofstock. We are really excited to be a sponsor of this great event. Side note about Sarah Beth.. Mention the PPP and you save 10% on a session.
